Day 1

A Company chauffeur will meet and greet you on arrival at the Airport. Proceed to Anuradhapura via Aukana, view the renowned Buddha Statue standing at a height of 13 meters carved in pure granite, [duration of the journey will be about 5 hours], check-in at      , at Anuradhapura, relax visit the ancient city of Anuradhapura, it was Sri Lanka’s first capital and a major religious center for nearly 1500 years, in its present form it consists of a citadel surrounded by large monastic complexes and four man-made lakes, the colossal Stupas of Mahavihara, Jethavana and Abhayagiri Monasteries are of the same order of magnitude as the Pyramids of Egypt return to the hotel for dinner and for the overnight stay.

Day 2

Morning after breakfast proceed to Polonnaruwa en-route Habarana if desired you can do an elephant back safari (at an additional cost), check-in to           relax for a while, in the afternoon do the tour of the medieval capital of ancient Sri Lanka, visit the ancient ruins the remains consist of a walled inner and outer city surrounded by monasteries and temples with Palaces, Gardens and a man-made lake – the sea of Parakkrama. The Gal Vihara Complex is a Buddhist rock cut temple containing four masterpieces of world sculpture, return to the hotel for dinner and for the overnight stay.

Day 3

Morning after breakfast proceed to Sigiriya visit the Sigiriya Rock climb the rock fortress built by the Patricide King Kashyapa [5th Century A.D.], this is Asia’s most important archaeological sites, view the remains of the Royal City with ramparts, moats, gateways and a Palace on top of a 200 meter rock. Check-in to                relax and do an excursion to Dambulla, which is well known for its rock temples and well preserved 18th century paintings, it is one of the largest cave temple complexes in South Asia and also one of Sri Lanka’s major religious and historical sites, one could find the richest collection of Lord Buddha Images in these ancient caves. Return to the same hotel for dinner and for the overnight stay.

Day 4

After Breakfast drive to Kandy via Matale if desired visit a herbal and a spice garden, drive to Kandy visit the Royal Botanical Gardens at Peradeniya, which offers an abundance of exotic flora including Asia’s exclusive collection of Orchids, check-in to            in the evening view a performance of folk-lore and cultural dances (Low and up country traditional dances and music), Visit the upper lake area to view the panorama of the historic city, visit the Temple of the tooth relic of Lord Buddha, which was originally built under Kandyan kings between 1687 and 1707, The tooth relic came from India sixteen centuries ago and moved from capital to capital always with the king. This precious relic attracts white-clad pilgrims, bearing lotus blossoms and frangipani, every day. Return to the same hotel for dinner and for the overnight stay.

Day 5

After breakfast if desired visit a gem museum and a gem lapidary and do an excursion to Pinnawala Elephant orphanage. It was started in 1975, by the Department of wildlife on a 25 acre area on the bank of the Maha Oya river at Rambukkana. Experience the life pattern of Elephants of various age limits. return to Kandy you are free to be in the city experience the local market etc and return to              for dinner and for the overnight stay.

Day 6

After breakfast proceed to Nuwara Eliya via Pussellawa, the tea growing District, beatutiful routes winding through scenic landscapes, photo-stop for tea pickers, visit a tea factory with the possibility to taste the island’s top export product – the finest blended tea in the world, Nuwara Eliya is a mountain station at 1,868 m (6,128 ft) of altitude, in a splendid landscape. The city pretends to be particularly well-kept and neat, and always green grass gives the locality and aspect of “colonial British style”. Blessed with salubrious climate, breathtaking views of valleys, meadows, mountains and greenery sightseeing of the country side check-in to           at Nuwara Eliya relax for a while do the city tour sightseeing of the country side return to the same hotel for dinner and for overnight stay.

Day 7

After breakfast proceed to Tissamaharama via Ella gap experience the scenery of the range of mountains, unique vegetation, experience the village atmosphere, drive to Tissamaharama check-in to           at Tissamaharama. Do an excursion to Yala National Park jeep for wild life safari experience the natural habitat of flora and fauna return to the hotel for the dinner and for the overnight stay.

Day 8

After breakfast proceed Hikkaduwa en-route Tangale, Mirissa, Unawatuna and Galle the southern coastal belt experience the stilt fishermen at Mirissa and visit Galle, which is the capital of the southern province, city with a colourful history. UNESCO declared World Heritage Site the magnificent Dutch fortress is the most popular attraction of the town, experience the remains of the 16th century Dutch Fortress, The ramparts and the bastions still bring to life the old world, do a city tour in Galle, and drive to Hikkaduwa and check-in      Relax, dinner and for the overnight stay.

Day 9

Relax day on the beach           (breakfast and dinner)

Day 10

After breakfast at leisure .Proceed to Colombo en-route if desired do a boat safari at Madu river in Balapitiya (at an additional cost) and If desired you can visit sea turtle farm at Kosgoda and drive to Colombo do a city tour in the commercial capital of the country you can have your dinner (we shall organize it in a convenient restaurant) and drive to the Airport– 03 hours prior to the departure flight.
