Day 1
AIRPORT/ ANURADHAPURA

Arrival at Katunayake International Airport and transfer to Anuradhapura,
Lunch will be in a local restaurant.

Day 2
ANURADHAPURA
After breakfast visit Anuradhapura
Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka’s best-known city, has been the island’s capital for more than a thousand years since the 5th century BC. A number of Buddhist monuments here date back over 2000 years.
Lunch will be in a local restaurant.
Check into the hotel. Afternoon visit Mihintale. and not far from the main city of Anuradhapura is Mihintale. This forest clad mountain is sacred to all Buddhists, because Buddhism was introduced to Sri Lanka in 03rd century BC from this point. This climb to the peak is interesting as from here you could see the entire surrounding jungle area. There is a Buddhist Dagaba on top of the rock.
Day 3
ANURADHAPURA/ AWUKANA/POLONNARUWA/HABARANA
After breakfast depart for Habarana en route visit Awukana
Lunch will be in a local restaurant.
In the afternoon visit POLONNARUWA
A UNESCO World Heritage Site, it rose to fame as the capital, following the decline of Anuradhapura. Its period of greatness was from the 10th – 12th century AD. The entire landscape of the region is dotted with large artificial basins, real inland seas, the most famous of which is the Prakrama Samudra or Parakrama Sea, larger than the port of Colombo. The monuments of this medieval city are relatively well preserved and give clear testimony to the glory of Sri Lanka’s past. See the Royal Palace complex, the Quadrangle with its concentration of ancient heritage and the spectacular GalVihara complex of four enormous Buddha images, cut from a single slab of granite – a highlight of ancient Sri Lankan rock carving.
Day 4
SIGIRIYA/DAMBULLA/ KANDY/ RAMBODA(KANDY only passage: we are not interested)
After the first breakfast, climb the Sigiriya rock fortress.
This UNESCO World Heritage Site, a spectacular rock fortress, is one of Sri Lanka’s top attractions. The most impressive aspects of the unique complex are the Water Gardens, the frescoes of beautiful maidens, the mirror wall with ancient graffiti, the lion platform and the 1.6-hectare Summit, which was completely covered by buildings during the period of the glory of Sigiriya.
Lunch will be in a local restaurant.
En route visit Dambulla Cave Temples.
In Sri Lanka the history of the Dambulla cave complex dates back to the 3rd and 2nd centuries BC.
Even before the construction of the complex it was well established as one of the largest monasteries in Sri Lanka. Dambulla caves have been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site
Leaving for Kandy in the afternoon Kandy is a beautiful city, the Capital Hill and last stronghold of the Sinhala kings retains an aura of grandeur, which time has not affected. Surrounded by hills, with a tranquil lake in its centre, it is the site of the famous ”Temple of the Tooth” and the Royal Botanic Gardens is home to one of the finest collections of orchids. Kandy and its satellite villages are at the center of the islands crafts sector, and its traditional dances are the most spectacular in the country.
After leaving for Ramboda En route visit Ramboda Falls also a tea plantation and witness the production of the famous Ceylon tea”
Day 5
RAMBODA/ NUWARA ELIYA/ ELLA/ TISSAMAHARAMAYA
After breakfast Leave for Nuwara Eliya hill country center, visit Gregory Lake is one of the attractive places in Nuwaraeliya. Shanthipura (the view over the city),

Day 6
TISSAMAHARAMAYA/ YALA/ MIRISSA
After breakfast do
safari in Yala National Park Located at 309Km. south of Colombo, Yala is approximately 1,259 sq km and is located in the south-eastern corner of the island. It borders the northern Lahugala Elephant Sanctuary and has the added bonus of a scenic ocean front. The terrain is very varied, plains alternating with outcropping rocks. The vegetation varies from a park, to a dense jungle. Waterholes, lakes, ponds and streams provide water for animals and birds. The specialty here is the large number of elephants.

Day 7
MIRISSA/ GALLE / HIKKADUWA
After breakfast in Mirissa sea trip for ”whale watching” (optional) Lunch will be in a local restaurant.
After transfer Hikkaduwa En route see the Fisherman Knight/ turtle hatchery also visit the Dutch town of Galle Fort, museum and church. Dutch Fort: Built in 1663, the fortress still retains the atmosphere and charm of Dutch days. Many old Dutch buildings are still intact inside the fort. The best way to see the fortress is on foot around sunset time. Dutch Museum: The Dutch Museum, which is housed in a restored Dutch mansion of the time, contains paintings, prints, documents, furniture and ceramics from the Dutch colonial era. Dutch Reformed Church: Built by a Dutch army officer at the site of an earlier Portuguese church in 1754 the church is located near the new entrance to the fort.
